C&J Attorney Sarah Stitgen and Sales/Marketing Manager Brianna Glouse dove into the expo head first, dressed as sailors to helm our booth. Some of the more popular tchotchkes and swag were branded portable fans and stemless, plastic wine glasses, both perfect for pool or yacht-side fun and games. Other giveaways included large beach-style cloth tote bags, sunscreen, SPF chapstick, hand sanitizer and more. The big draw was a raffle giveaway for a large YETI cooler, which first-time GAR attendee Lacie Winters won (pictured). Lacie works at Golden Key Realty in Warner Robins, Ga. with Margie Stachurski.
Our time at GAR included attending the 50th anniversary reception of the Women’s Council of Realtors (WCR) on Monday, August 30. We hung out with our friend Cassandra Oliver (pictured), who is the 2021 WCR Cobb County president and a top-notch realtor with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers. C&J is a silver sponsor of the Cobb County chapter and we enjoyed spending some quality time with our WCR pals at this celebration.
Another highlight for us was getting to meet Herschel Walker, the University of Georgia football standout and 1982 Heisman Trophy winner. He was the keynote speaker at GAR and we, as sports fans, got a real kick out of saying hello to this pleasant, personable and overall nice guy who lights up the room with his smile.
Our captain’s hats are off to Haley Sutton, GAR’s business development specialist who organized this fabulous event, which was no small feat, given the quickly changing and highly erratic climate these days thanks to ever-shifting pandemic policies. We’re looking forward to the 2022 GAR Annual Conference & Expo to be held in Nashville from August 30 to September 2 next year.
We hope to have the chance to give out some more awesome swag, pal around with our many friends there again, and meet new real estate industry professionals next year!
